Hoiana Shores Golf Club will be set up at 6362 yards, par-71, for the WAAP 2025

Hoiana Shores Golf Club, part of the upscale Hoiana Resort complex in Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam, will host the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) Championship 2025. Despite only opening in 2019, this course quickly made an impression, ranking among the Top 100 Best Golf Courses in the World in both 2022 and 2023.

Located along a beautiful coastline with pristine natural terrain, Hoiana Shores is the first championship-standard golf course in Vietnam, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. With a links-style layout, a common coastal course design found in Ireland and Scotland, Hoiana Shores offers an exciting and challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels.

For the WAAP 2025, Hoiana Shores Golf Club will be set up as a par-71 course, playing at a total of 6362 yards. The front nine will measure 3374 yards (par-36), and the back nine will be 2988 yards (par-35).

Here's the detailed yardage for each hole at Hoiana Shores Golf Club for the WAAP 2025:

Hole 1 - 425 yards (par 4)

Hole 10 - 542 yards (par 5)

Hole 2 - 371 yards (par 4)

Hole 11 - 372 yards (par 4)

Hole 3 - 551 yards (par 5)

Hole 12 - 180 yards (par 3)

Hole 4 - 422 yards (par 4)

Hole 13 - 397 yards (par 4)

Hole 5 - 148 yards (par 3)

Hole 14 - 110 yards (par 3)

Hole 6 - 386 yards (par 4)

Hole 15 - 360 yards (par 4)

Hole 7 - 538 yards (par 5)

Hole 16 - 350 yards (par 4)

Hole 8 - 141 yards (par 3)

Hole 17 - 134 yards (par 3)

Hole 9 - 392 yards (par 4)

Hole 18 - 543 yards (par 5)

One of the key elements that makes this setup special is the interplay between long and short holes, creating diversity and challenges for golfers. The long par-5 holes will not only require golfers to hit long drives but also to exercise control to avoid the extensive bunkers lining the fairways. These are holes where golfers can definitely create birdie opportunities with the right strategy.

Meanwhile, the par-3 holes, while not excessively long, present a high degree of difficulty, demanding players choose the appropriate club and ball flight, especially as wind can significantly impact ball trajectory.

The course's signature hole is the short par-4 16th, running along the coastline. Depending on the wind direction, golfers might even attempt to drive the green directly from the tee if they dare to carry a large bunker located to the right of the green.

With this strategically designed course setup, Hoiana Shores Golf Club promises to be an exciting and dramatic challenge for the female golfers competing in the WAAP 2025. Golfers will need to utilize their skills, strategy, and adaptability to overcome every challenge this course presents. Combined with its stunning landscape and luxurious resort amenities, Hoiana Shores is sure to be an unforgettable destination in the history of the WAAP – a prestigious tournament for the region's top female golfers.
